I picked up Kavin at school today and took him to work for a while today. We ended up with this little box...
...with six chicks in it and this way we will not get any roosters!
Cute and cuter!
Instant new flock. We lost a few hens over the winter so these little girls will help keep us in the eggs.
Like I need more things in our garage.
Thought we'd see if one of our brooding hens would want to adopt but no way Lumpy wanted them.
Update- We made a mistake by bringing Lumpy to the chicks! We just went out late this evening to the chicken coop where Lumpy is brooding and she let the chicks nestle under her wings right away. That means we have to check on her all throught he night to make sure the chicks are tucked in safe and sound.
